Pequot Library, through friendly, encouraging, professional service, strives to “teach and uplift as many as are willing to use it.”

The Library provides quality materials that reflect the needs and interests of the people of Fairfield and its vicinity.

The Library promotes books of literary merit for the enjoyment of adults and children.

The Library encourages children to develop and maintain an interest in books and reading through programs and special activities.

The Library develops, maintains, and displays its special collections of historical materials, which include rare books, manuscripts, photographs and genealogical reference materials. The collection is for the use and enjoyment of the community, researchers, scholars and writers.

The Library sponsors and encourages use of its historic building for cultural, educational and community events.
