The Pequot Library is known for its outstanding collection of genealogy and local history materials.  Researchers are provided with a broad choice of printed materials related to New England, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, the Middle Atlantic and Southeastern states.  In addition, the collection offers published family histories, lineage society resources, military histories, ethnic genealogy and a good selection of genealogy finding aids.  Patrons are offered access to both free and subscription internet sites at the computer stations located on the first floor.

Genealogy and Local History Collection Available to Researchers During Renovation
Don't let the renovations dampen your genealogical spirit.  A large portion of the local history and genealogy collection is temporarily located in the lowerl level of the library.  When the renovations are completed, the entire genealogy and local history collection will be located on the first floor of the library.
